Therapy
Cap Update: The Caps are Here. ..Are They Here to
Stay?
After several delays, the $1590 Part B therapy services
cap went into effect on September 1. For 2003, this
cap will provide each Medicare beneficiary with Part
B benefits up to $1590 for Part B Occupational therapy
services and $1590 for Physical and Speech therapy
services combined. |
Marketing
to Clinical Professionals
Your marketing audience mix should include physicians, medical
discharge planners and therapists from referring hospitals
and home health care groups. When speaking with these professionals,
be prepared for questions and concerns which are more detailed
and sophisticated than what you might normally field from
residents and their families.
Searching
for an occupational therapist? Well, the search is going
to get harder...
Currently,
the minimum degree required for an Occupational Therapist
to enter the profession is a baccalaureate (Bachelor’s)
degree. However, beginning in January 2007, The American
Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) has changed the
minimum entry-level degree requirement to a post-baccalaureate
(Master’s) degree.
